Predictive Medicine seeks to license clinical databases from pharmaceutical companies and other sources and will create prospective use databases. The Company intends to develop alliances with key HMOs, PPOs and large healthcare practices in order to test and commercialize its first product, Rx-D. The Company will develop its own marketing and sales organization to commercialize the product.

Most large group practices, PPOs and HMOs today have Internet and intranet capabilities. The Company envisions treatment plans delivered via these systems and integrated with the organization's existing information technology systems. The primary care physicians are known to prescribe 70% of all anti-depressant medication and therefore are likely to be the primary users.

The Company will license Rx-D based on number of users and a yearly access fee. In addition, updates and enhanced modules will be sold separately.

A typical scenario:

  1. User completes an online authorization form, including User Id and password, to access the product.
  2. On subsequent forms, the User describes the symptoms and physiology of the patient, filling in indicators such as Hamilton Depression Rating Scale Scores, family history, brain imaging data (if available), and neurmodulator metabolite data (if available). Finally, the user can qualify the type of treatment desired, indicating constraints such as a need to avoid a particular possible side effect or to achieve the fastest possible recovery.
  3. The patient data is then relayed to the patient profiler, which has access to the depression outcome model. The profiler interpolates and generalizes from existing data to develop a good match, hence good outcome predictions, that correspond to this patient's profile.
  4. Rx-D displays treatment choices ranked by physician selected criteria to assure the highest likelihood of success for each patient.
