products will be developed for mental illnesses such as schizophrenia
as further biomedical, genetic, and clinical databases are developed
specifically for supporting predictive studies. With the advent
of products such as Rx-D, researchers will be able to collect
and analyze data pertaining to the diagnosis and treatment of
disease, prospectively. As Predictive Medicine's repository
of medical research data grows, so too will the range and accuracy
of the products offered to healthcare providers and clinical
researchers.
Predictive Medicine intends to create software
tools and data to help facilitate Federal Drug Administration
(FDA) approval, particularly for drugs that have adverse effects
or are ineffective for certain patients or disease subtypes.
Pharmaceuticals can also use the Company's services to increase
the market share of drugs that are not the current market
leaders by identifying the type of patient or disease subtype
they are most effective in treating.
